Description
The scholarships, open to students who are citizens and normally reside in developing countries, include tuition fees, airfare back to Ireland, and a scholarship of € 1,000 per month for one year.
The scholarships will enable highly motivated students from developing countries to acquire skills and knowledge to have an immense impact on problems that limit their professional lives. Therefore, candidates are encouraged to take the opportunity and obtain world-class training at one of the best universities in Ireland.

Eligibility Criteria
Scholarships are awarded based on established eligibility criteria. The eligibility requirements for each scholarship are outlined on the UCC Scholarships & Prizes Website.
Enrolment requirements
All scholarships are awarded on the basis that you will maintain an enrolled status in your course of study in UCC. Your scholarship may be terminated and you will be required to repay the funds if your enrolment status becomes inactive.
Grounds for scholarship termination
Where the awarding of the scholarship is based on continuous high academic standards, the scholarship may be withdrawn if the recipient failed to maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Scholarships are not transferable by the recipient/applicant.
Scholarships may only be deferred under exceptional circumstances and such request will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Holding multiple scholarships
You may be permitted to hold the title to more than one scholarship. Students who are offered more than one Scholarship for the same achievement will accept subsequent scholarships on the basis that the bursary award from the highest valued scholarship only will apply.
Donor scholarships
If you are in receipt of a donor funded scholarship (e.g. the Naughton Scholarship), you are required to inform the University Scholarship Committee.
Data Protection
Scholarships and Prizes Awardees’ details (name, title of award, course title, and academic school) may appear on UCC Scholarship Website, publications, program materials for Award Ceremonies etc. We will use social media to promote UCC Scholarships and Prizes.
Where a scholarship is funded or co-funded with an external organisation / donor, we will pass on details (name, title of award, course title, and academic school) to the external organisation for the purpose of selection and reporting. Your contact details will not be given to an external organisation / donor without your prior consent.
